Gorka Orive is a doctor and professor of Pharmacy at the University of the Basque Country. He is the author of more than 400 scientific articles (H index=93), and 30,300 scientific citations, 350 conferences, 18 supervised doctoral theses, he has achieved more than 1.5 million euros in public-private research funding and is principal investigator of numerous scientific projects including the National Plan 2022.

According to the Stanford University ranking, he has been number 1 in Spain, and 30 in the world, among the most influential pharmaceutical scientists of the 21st century in 2021. In addition to his brilliant teaching and scientific activity of more than 20 years, is added his entrepreneurial vocation as founder of Geroa Diagnostics, one of the most innovative national biotechnology companies, responsible for the development of the first Alzheimer's diagnostic biomarker from patients' saliva. He is co-founder of regenerative medicine and cybernetics biotech company Cybosense.

He is awarded an Honoris Causa award by the University of Buenos Aires in 2022.

His dissemination activity began on social networks (twitter: @gorka_orive) in August 2016, but it was after the start of the pandemic that he became one of the scientific disseminators with the most impact and recognition in Spain. This is evidenced by its extraordinary growth in followers and influence, with almost 117,000 followers, one of the most important dissemination accounts in Euskadi.

He stands out in h
