Doctor of Psychology from the University of the Basque Country (2014). Since 2015, she has been a Professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology and Research Methodology at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of the Basque Country. Previously, she worked at Matia Instituto Gerontológico (Fundación Matia) so she has extensive experience in applied research in gerontology and disability, as well as in the assessment and psychological intervention with elderly and very old people (over 85 years old and centenarians) , as well as with caregivers of people with disabilites. This experience has been recognized by numerous awards for the best social research such as the Infanta Cristina Award (2008) or the Obra Social Caja Madrid Award (2005) among others. In addition, he has numerous scientific publications in impact journals such as Aging and Mental Health, International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, Personality and Individual Differences, among others, and has contributed to several book chapters and published books dedicated to the gerontological field.
