Degree in Pedagogy from the Complutense University of Madrid (2004), degree in Psychopedagogy (2008) and PhD in Psychology (2014) from the UPV/EHU, with Extraordinary Doctorate Award.

Between 2014 and 2018 she was a lecturer in the Department of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education, Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology in subjects of Educational Guidance and Research Methods, in the degrees of Pedagogy and Social Education, as well as in the master's degree for Teacher Training in Secondary Education.

Since 2018 she has been a lecturer in the area of Methodology of Behavioral Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology of the UPV/EHU. She teaches subjects of the area in the degree of Psychology and Criminology.

Her research focuses on Emotional Intelligence (EI), deepening into its development in childhood, and the study of personal, family and cultural factors that influence such development. This line includes the creation and adaptation of tools to assess emotional skills in the early years and the study of the relations between EI and personal and social adjustment. The evaluation of interventions to promote emotional competence constitutes an integrated line of research.

She is co-author of 6 scientific articles and 6 book chapters, and has more than 25 contributions to national and international conferences. She did a research stay at the Human Emotions Laboratory, University of Delaware (USA), with professor Carroll Izard.
