Acquired skills
These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- Ser capaz de identificar diferencias, problemas y necesidades individuales, grupales e intergrupales en distintos contextos y saber cómo planificar intervenciones y evaluarlas.
- To be capable of finding, managing, refreshing, selecting, analysing and summarising information related to Psychology, based on specialist documents and data sources.
- To be capable of learning autonomously and valuing the importance of lifelong learning, with a view to permanently refreshing the competencies and knowledge required for the suitable pursuit of the profession and contributing to the state-of-the-art in psychology.
- To be capable of measuring and obtaining relevant data for an assessment, analysing quantitative and/or qualitative data, interpreting results and properly drafting a psychological report for its oral and/or written presentation.
- To relate and communicate effectively at personal, professional and scientific level and be capable of working both individually and in uni- and multidisciplinary teams, assuming responsibilities and appraising their performance in a critical way.
- To understand Psychology's different fields of application and have the necessary knowledge to influence and promote health and quality of life among individuals, groups, communities and organisations in different contexts: educational, clinical, employment and organisations, and community.
- To understand the functions, characteristics and limitations of the different theoretical models of Psychology and be capable of critically assessing their contributions and limitations.
- To understand the laws and principles governing basic psychological processes, as well as their biological, social and cultural fundaments, as well as their development throughout life in order to be capable of identifying and integrating those elements that constitute a human being's psychological substrate.
- To understand the legal framework that governs a psychologist's professional duties and be capable of applying ethical principles and the code of conduct.
