Doctor and Bachelor of Sociology, as well as Master in Program Evaluation and Public Policies, I am Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Social Work in the Degree in Criminology, teaching the subjects of Sociology of the Deviation and Sociology of Crime and Criminal Control.
I belong to the GICCAS Research Group (Research Group in Criminal Sciences), belonging to the Basque Institute of Criminology (IVAC/KREI).
My main line of research focuses on the study of the sport phenomenon, as a complex social phenomenon, but, above all, from a perspective of evaluative research of programs and public policies, aimed at the achievement of connecting scientific knowledge with social utility. In this line, my last works and publications has focused at the study of social problems such as inequity, violence and deviance, among others, linked to sports.
