Doctor by the University of La Rioja (2011). Doctoral thesis on how to facilitate the integration of renewable energies in the electrical system. PhD studies in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of the Basque Country in the program of Distributed Generation and renewable energies: Impact on the power system of Power. Industrial Engineer in the ETSII and IT of Bilbao (2003). Technical Engineer in Electricity at the EUITI of Eibar (1987).

PTEU Doctor in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the UPV / EHU imparted teaching in Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering in the Degrees of Mechanical Engineering, Degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering and in the Degree in Industrial Electronic and Automatic Engineering in the EI of Vitoria-Gasteiz) and Energy Management and Eco-efficiency in the Degree in Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The research lines in which I participated are derived from the doctoral thesis and were linked to the integration of renewable energies in the electrical system. First with the introduction of FACTS devices in wind farms and in distributed generation systems. Subsequently, I focused on the needs and repercussions of a new energy model in the absence of fossil fuels. The incorporation of eco-efficient actions for the improvement of energy management in the areas of transport and consumption generation and the social repercussions that this implies (energy poverty, mobility, sustainable territories)
