Acquired skills
These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- A knowledge and understanding of and the ability to apply the necessary legislation while working as an engineering technician in public works.
- A knowledge of the history of civil engineering and the ability to analyse and assess construction in general and public works in particular.
- An ability to design, inspect and manage worksites in the relevant field.
- An ability to draw up studies and design surface or groundwater takeoffs in the relevant field.
- An ability to draw up territorial planning studies and studies of environmental issues concerned with infrastructures in the relevant field.
- An ability to maintain and conserve water and energy resources in the relevant field.
- An ability to maintain, conserve and operate infrastructures in the relevant field.
- An understanding of the numerous technical and legal conditioning factors involved in public works, and the ability to use proven methods and tried and tested technologies to optimise efficiency in construction work while respecting the environment and protecting the health and safety of workers and users of public works.
- The ability to work in a team when the activity involved so requires.
- The knowledge and ability required to apply business management techniques and labour-related legislation.
- The scientific and technical ability required to work as an engineering technician in the field of public works, and the knowledge of advisory, analysis, design, calculation, project, construction, maintenance, conservation and operation tasks.
