She got her Chemistry degree (2013) and her master in Sinthetic and Industrial Chemistry (2014) in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). In 2019 she finished her pHD in the Renewable Material Engineering programme of the UPV/HU. She is part of the Biorefinery Processes Reasearch Group (BioRP) and since 2021 she is an associate professor in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering department of the Faculty of Engineering Vitoria-Gastiez.
During her pHD (2018), she carried out a short-term stay in the Green Chemistry Center of Excellence (York, United Kingdom). She has participated in 7 research projects with autonomous and state fundings and she has co-directed a master project of the Renewable Material Engineering master of the Faculty of Engineering of Guipuzcoa (UPV/EHU).
Her research is focused on the revalorization of agricultural residues by environmentally sustainable processes for the obtaining of added-value products (Bioethanol, oligosaccharides, antioxiants ...). As a results of this research 20 scientific articles and 3 book chapters have been published. Additionally, she has present 20 contributions in internatinal conferences, being four of them oral contributions. Nowadays, she is also a reviewer of some scientific journals such as Journal of Cleaner Production, Industrial Crops and Products, Food Research International, ...
