Jose Felix Rojas graduated in 1979 and got the Ph.D. in 1995 both at UPV/EHU. Meanwhile he worked in private enterprise. Since 1996 is working with the Grupo de Ciencias Planetarias, who's director is Agustin Sanchez-Lavega.



During these years our workteam has obtained financial support from a variety of spanish competitive grants, an european competitive grant and is also funded by Gobierno Vasco as an excellence research group (grupo A).



My research focuses on the atmospheres dynamics of the giant planets and the rich variety of structures and phaenomena that produce. These studies require of some techniques such as are precission measuring, data analysis, image processing, celestial mechanics, photometry, numerical methods, programming and numerical simulation.



I'am an experienced observer using the 1.23 and 2.2 m telescopes at Calar Alto Observatory (Almería, Spain), use regularly a 36-cm remotely controlled telescope located at this observatory and also the 50 cm telescope available on the Escuela de Ingeniería de Bilbao.
