IÑIGO BIDAGUREN DIEGO is an Industrial Technical Engineer (2001, UPV/EHU), Industrial Engineer (2007, UPV/EHU), Master in Sustainable Energy Engineering (2011, UPV/EHU), and defended his doctoral thesis in 2019 in the fields of Computational Fluid Dynamics and Reduced Order Models. The thesis was co-directed by Dr. Jesús María Blanco Ilzarbe (UPV/EHU) and Dr. Lakhdar Remaki (BCAM, ALFAISAL UNIVERSITY).

Between 2001 and 2009, he developed his professional career as a Product Engineer at BATZ S.Coop, notably contributing as a co-author to the creation of 5 patents.

Since November 2009, he has been a professor in the Department of Energy Engineering (University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea), at the Bilbao Engineering School, where he has taught the following subjects: "Fluid Mechanics," "Installations and Hydraulic Machines," "Hydraulic Machines and Automation," and "Computational Fluid Dynamics." Additionally, he has supervised 27 final degree projects (TFG).

Although his research work is diversified in different areas of Fluid Mechanics, he primarily focuses on two areas: marine renewable energy and studies related to metrology and water meters.
