I obtained the Electronic Engineering degree in 2006 at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU. Subsequently, thanks to an FPI scholarship, I completed my doctorate studies in the Automatic Systems and Engineering Dept. of the EUITI in Bilbao, obtaining the Doctorate with Outstanding-Cum Laude qualification and the European Doctorate Mention. In addition, the doctoral thesis received one of the Extraordinary Doctorate Awards corresponding to the academic year 2011/2012 in the area of Technical Teachings granted by the Postgraduate Commission of the UPV/EHU. I have made numerous publications in both JCR indexed journals and international conferences of great relevance, and I have also take part in various research projects. I am a member of the Automatic Control Group of the UPV/EHU where we research in the field of new energy sources (design and development of control schemes, nuclear fusion reactors, OWC systems, Off-shore Wind, simulation and application of controllers...). As a member of the Department of Automatic Systems and Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao I teach not only in undergraduate programs but I am also a professor of the subject Control de sistemas de generación de energías limpias of Máster Universitario en Ingeniería de Control, Automatización y Robótica (INCAR) and the subject of Wave to wire control of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Renewable Energy in the Marine Environment (REM).
