Jose Maria Lomas

Master degree in Chemistry at the University of Valladolid in 1978.
In 1979, he worked at the sugar mill of Miranda de Ebro (Burgos). In 1980 he was a high school teacher o Chemistry. From 1983-87 he was director of schools of "Dragados and Construcciones" in Algeria and Tunisia.
In 1988 he entered the UPV, where he got the PhD in 1996 and obtained the position of Associated Professor in 1998. He has taught Industrial Chemistry, Experimentation in Chem. Ind. and Project Management.
He began his research activity in 1990 in Anaerobic Digestion or Wastewaters and published 5 articles in journals with JCR and a book edited by the EVE (Basque Agency of Energy). As of 2011, he researches in Advanced Chemical Oxidation Technologies of Industrial Wastewater and has published another 12 articles with JCR. He has also participated in 12 funded R & D projects. In addition, he has given 13 Erasmus courses in European countries, as well as in Cuba, Turkey, etc.
He has been an elected member of the Board of Academic Staff of the UPV from 1992 to 2012 and of the University Senate from 1994 to the present.
