Urtzi Reguero Ugarte is a lecturer at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) at the Faculty of Education and Sports of Vitoria-Gasteiz. He graduated in Basque Philology in 2010 and completed the Master's Degree in Linguistics and Basque Philology in 2012, after defending the Master's thesis on Basque in the Middle Ages. He got PHD in 2017, after having defended the thesis Goi-nafarrera arkaiko eta zaharra: azterketa eta testuak [High-Navarrese archaic and ancient: studies and texts].



His researches are focused on philology, especially the study and edition of high Navarrese texts, and the diachronic evolution of the Basque-Navarrese dialect. In addition, he is a teacher of language teaching in the grades of Pre-school Education and Primary Education since 2015 and is developing a project focused on language teaching through literature.



In 2012, he participated in the creation of the association of young linguists Aziti Bihia, and collaborated in the edition of the doctrine written by Esteve Materra. He is also a member of the Monumenta Linguae Vasconum research project of the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU)
