Edu Zelaieta Anta is licentiate in Basque Philology (2000) and doctorate in Linguistics and Basque Studies (2006) by the University of the Basque Country (UBC). After a period working as a teacher in Secondary, he joins Department of Language and Literature Didactics of the UBC. He teaches in degree programs (Early Childhood Education and Primary Education) as well as postgraduate studies (Master on Secondary). With regard to researching work, He is a member of the consolidated Research Group PSIKOR. He has published several papers about Linguistics, Communication and Development of Critical Thinking in Education. He is one of the members of the Editorial Board of the UBC’s Education Journal called Tantak, in which he has been the director of that Journal until June of 2019. Currently, He is the Vice-dean of Teaching Coordination and Final Year Project at the Education and Sport Faculty.



In addition to academic tasks, since 2002, he has written literary works for both children and adults. Emphasizes, in this sense, the publication of works that address the lyrical genre: four poetry books and three CD-books (within the Mugaldekoak literary-musical project). Translates, also, children's literature from Catalan and English into Basque.
