INTERESTS

I am working on the broad field of History and Philosophy of Ideas, but focusing exclusively on the narrower sub-field of Darwinism and its socio-philosophical implications.

In recent years, I have combined the philosophical study of Darwinism with Computational Corpus Linguistics methodologies in order to take a deeper look at Darwinian language and, thus, to be able to draw stronger conclusions about the conceptual heritage we have received from Darwin, which is a constitutive pillar of the contemporary scientific worldview.

CURRENTLY

After two years of research as post-doctoral fellow at the University of Leeds (UK), School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science, Centre for History and Philosophy of Science, I am now a lecturer at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), attached to the Philosophy of Values and Social Anthropology department in San Sebastián (Spain), Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology. I’m currently teaching at Bellas Artes faculty, Campus of Leioa.

I’m a member of IAS-Research. Centre for Life, Mind and Society research group, collaborator of the Applied Evolutionary Epistemology Lab and Executive Secretary of the biannual International Ontology Congress.
