Acquired skills
These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- G1. Learning about and understanding the theories of social science in general and anthropology in particular concerning the production of social and cultural diversity in different areas of social life.
- G2. An ability to analyse and explain human institutions within broader cultural configurations, applying a holistic view to the problems under study.
- G3. An ability to examine and account for cultural diversity in various contexts via the reading, analysis and understanding of basic texts and materials in the field of social science in general and anthropology in particular.
- G4. Possessing a theoretical, methodological and technical grounding in the practising of anthropology as a profession in various career areas: inter-cultural relations, local development and international cooperation, cultural heritage, cultural management, research and teaching, applied research and consultancy in personal, health and social services.
- G5. An ability to carry out ethnographic research based on field work that combines observation as a participant, the use of different techniques and the handling of documentary and graphic source materials.
- G6. An ability to communicate and implement the knowledge acquired (theoretical and applied) and intervene in solving social problems and in general in helping to improve the quality of life of individuals in different contexts of cultural diversity.
- G7. Developing skills and concerns in the field of life-long learning, with a commitment to adapting to the space/time context and continuously improving the specialist knowledge and know-how of anthropology as a discipline.
