University professor (UPV-EHU) in Marketing and Market Research Area. PhD in Economic and Business. His Doctoral Thesis deals with Strategic Decisions of International Marketing.

Currently, he teaches postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Bilbao, the Executive MBA in Business Management and the Master's Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management and undergraduate teaching at the Faculty of Economics and Business on the Alava Campus.

He has held various positions of responsibility in university management as Vice-Chancellor of Economic Affairs of the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), Director of the University School of Business Management of Vitoria-Gasteiz and is currently Vice-Dean of Academic Organization of the Faculty of Economics and Business on the Alava Campus.

Furthermore, he has been Director General of the Basque Statistical Office (EUSTAT).

He has directed Doctoral Theses on Ecological Marketing, Sustainable Urban Waste Management and Marketing and Image of the University. Currently his research lines deal with Image Management and Experiential Marketing in Higher Education Institutions. He has published numerous marketing articles in relevant journals, as well as presentations at countless national and international congresses.

He has also developed educational innovation projects ,such as the implementation of the Business Simulation laboratory at the Faculty of Economics and Business on the Alava Campus.
