Acquired skills

These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:

  • To acquire the scientific-technical capabilities required for the profession of Renewable Energies Engineer and an understanding of the duties of consultancy, auditing, analysis, calculus, planning, building, maintenance and operation of facilities.
  • To analyse and assess the social, economic and environmental impact of technical solutions.
  • To apply the principles and methods of quality.
  • To apply the specific strategies of scientific methodology: analyse the situation and its issues both qualitatively and quantitatively. Propose hypotheses and solutions using the specific models of Renewable Energies engineering.
  • To develop the learning skills required for lifelong training, as well as for pursuing further studies with a high degree of autonomy, and skills firmly based on respect for human rights and equal opportunities across the board.
  • To find and interpret relevant data for issuing judgements that include a reflection in matters of a social, scientific or ethical nature, applying them to undertake measurements, calculations, assessments, valuations, surveys, studies, reports, work plans and other similar tasks.
  • To gain knowledge in basic and specific subjects that allow learning new methods, theories and modern tools in engineering, providing sufficient versatility to enable all the graduates to adapt to new situations in their careers.
  • To know how to draft, develop and supervise projects within the field of Renewable Energies, whose purpose involves the functions described in the preceding section.
  • To organise and plan within the corporate sphere, as well as within other institutions and organisations.
  • To resolve problems with initiative, decision-making, creativity, critical reasoning and the communication and conveyance of knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of Renewable Energies.
  • To understand, develop and apply the specifications, regulations and rules of mandatory compliance involved in the professional duties of a Renewable Energies Engineer.
  • To work efficiently in a team integrating capabilities and knowledge for adopting decisions within the field of Renewable Energies engineering.
  • To work in a multilingual and multidisciplinary environment.
