PhD in Fine Arts (2012, University of Barcelona, UB thereon), Bachelor of Fine Arts (2000) and Diploma of Advanced Studies at the Department of Sculpture Times and Places in Contemporary Sculpture (2003) in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UB. From 2007 to 2017 she was an associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UB in the Department of Sculpture. She has participated in different research and teaching innovation projects such as the research project in the humanities and social sciences La Practica Arranjada (Code 042026) at the UB (2007-2009). She is a member of the Aps-UB ICE working group, teaching innovation project Sharing Ideas. Conferences-Workshop of the students of the UB. Code: 2015 PID-UB / 150 and the teaching innovation group ATESI (Art, Territory, Teaching Strategy, Sustainability and Social Intervention - GINDO UB / 162).

Alaitz is currently an assistant professor within the Department of Didactics of musical, plastic and corporal expression at the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology of the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) in San Sebastian (Spain) and member of the research group Elkarrikertuz (IT-1265-19). She also lectures in the Master's in “Teacher training of compulsory secondary education and high school, vocational training and language teaching in the specialty of Arts Education.
