These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- Ability to analyze and assess the degree of social impact, and to apply the principles of sustainable development to the implementation of technical solutions in Automotive Engineering, always taking into account its economic impacts.
- Ability to apply techniques of Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Manufacturing in areas of Research, Development and Legislation.
- Ability to apply the strategies characteristic of the Engineering methodology: to analyze the problematic situations qualitatively and quantitatively, to propose hypotheses and solutions in the light of Engineering models in the Automotive area.
- Ability to develop projects in the field of Automotive Engineering that have as their main goal the design, the construction, the manufacture, the installation, the assembly or the exploitation of structures, mechanical equipment, energy installations, electrical and electronic installations, industrial plants and manufacturing and automation processes.
- Ability to handle specifications, regulations, legislation and mandatory regulations in the Automotive area.
- Ability to manage and design engineering projects applied to vehicle manufacturing.
- Ability to organize and plan for tasks within the scope of the Automotive area, according to quality principles and methods.
- Ability to solve engineering problems through computational approaches and tools.
- Ability to solve problems with initiative, decision making, creativity, critical reasoning, leadership and to communicate and transmit knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ability to take measurements, do calculations, set values, conduct appraisals, surveys, or studies,write reports, design task schedules, and other similar duties in the field of Automotive Engineering.
- Ability to use technical knowledge based on computational tools for vehicle design and associated equipment.
- Ability to work in a group effectively, and integrating skills and knowledge to make decisions in a multilingual and multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to work in a variable technological or business environment in which the objectives of individuals, companies and entities are always kept in mind.
- Adopt a responsible and autonomous attitude, orderly at work and willing to learn and innovate, considering the challenge posed by the necessary continuous training and adaptability to variable environments.
- Knowledge in basic and technological subjects as well as computer tools that enable the students to learn new methods and theories and provide them with versatility to adapt to new situations, making use of the scientific databases, technical publications and regulations of the Automotive Engineering.
