He comes from the fields of Fine Arts and Anthropology. For twenty years he has been dedicated to academic research on sculpture in public space and its relationship-interactions with the processes of remodeling and urban transformation. At present, he has focused on the study of those parameters of higher level regulated education, which in the university context, act with greater relevance in the establishment of concrete ways of understanding artistic teaching and the transmission of knowledge of art. His transdisciplinary vision emphasized by a heterodox "aesthetic" look derived from plastic arts in general and sculpture in particular, extends to areas such as socio-anthropological and cultural issues. His teaching work as a university professor is part of the Department of Sculpture of the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU). He also publishes, exhibits with the artist Amaia Lekerikabeaskoa and participates in conferences on the areas of knowledge mentioned.

Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) in 2004 and Bachelor of Social and Cultural Anthropology from the UNED (2008). It currently has 2 teaching sections (five-year periods) recognized by the UPV / EHU and 2 research sections (six-year periods) recognized by the CNEAI, as well as a period positively evaluated by the DOCENTIAZ-7 Program. He has directed and / or co-directed 5 doctoral theses
