Acquired skills
These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- Carrying out technical calculations, measurements, evaluations, appraisals of value and financial viability studies, conducting expert appraisals, inspections, pathology analyses and other similar analyses, and drawing up the corresponding reports, rulings and technical documents; preparing construction drawings for plots and buildings.
- Directing and managing the use, conservation and upkeep of buildings, drawing up the necessary technical documents. Preparing useful life-cycle studies for materials, construction systems and buildings. Managing the handling of construction and demolition waste.
- Directing the actual implementation of construction work on buildings, their installations and elements, with the qualitative and quantitative monitoring of the resulting buildings via the establishment and management of monitoring plans for materials, systems and actual work, keeping the relevant records for inclusion in the building log. Maintaining financial control of work, drawing up certificates and settling up for work completed.
- Handling new building technologies and taking part in building quality management processes; conducting analyses and assessments and drawing up certificates on energy efficiency and building sustainability studies.
- Managing real estate processes as a whole. Acting as technical representatives of building firms in building work.
- Preparing occupational health and safety studies and plans and coordinating the operations of companies in matters related to occupational health and safety on construction sites in both the design and implementation stages.
- Preparing technical projects and directing building work within the scope in which they are legally authorised to do so.
- Providing technical advice in the manufacturing processes of materials and elements used in building construction.
