The Group of Matrix Analysis and Applications of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU is formed by 11 researchers: 7 from this university, 2 from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, 1 from Universidad de Barcelona and 1 from Nestlé España, S.A. This group is the result of the evolution of a team that has been working uninterrupted in research since 1981. The main field of interest for GAMA is the Theory of Matrices with applications to Mathematical Control and Perturbation Theory. Inverse problems concerning the study of invariants of partially known matrices and systems (Completion problems) and how those invariants are modified by small perturbations on matrices have been the main topics where the members of GAMA have obtained their most important results.
Some keywords: Matrices, Control Systems, Perturbations, Inverse Problems, Canonical Forms, Invariant Factors, Linearizations, Controllability, Observability, Realizations, Invariant Subspaces, Pseudospectra, Eigenvalues, Eigenvectors, Singular Values, Singular Vectors.
