Full Professor. PhD and Degree in CCAFYD. Degree in Human Sports Movements (University of Wales). Master in ARD by COE. Master in research by UPV/EHU. Master in injury prevention and rehabilitation by UCAM. Post-doc stays: USA, Argentina, England, Croatia, Norway and Australia. Superior trainer of: Basketball, Athletics and Swimming. He teaches undergraduate and master's degree in UPV/EHU. In addition 1235 conferences as guest speaker in 32 countries. Associate editor of the Journal of Fundamental pplied Kinesiology and Frontiers in Physiology. He has published 8 books, 85 chapters, 228 JCR articles, 1 patent and has supervised 16 doctoral theses. 4 sexenios by CNEAI. He has received 20 awards in his career. His areas of research revolve around Training and Physiology applied to elite sport, with interest in fatigue recovery. He is a member of the European College of Sports Sciences (ECSS), scientific director of the European Physical Conditionning Association (EPCA), founder executive Board of the Strenght and Conditionning Society (SCS), former member of the Spanish Association of Basketball Physical Trainers (ASEPREB), advisor Board of ELPA-EUROLIGA and vice president of the Basque Association of Basketball Coaches (AVEB). He is a regular contributor to sports media (TV, Radio and written press).
