Material resources
The centres of the UPV/EHU and the Master's and Doctoral School have material resources and services suitable for guaranteeing the smooth running of the doctoral training activities, observing the criteria of universal accessibility and design for all, in accordance with Law 51/2003 of 2 December. Furthermore, the UPV/EHU provides the General Research Services (SGIker), the Campus Libraries, the Campus Language Laboratories and the campus external relations offices, among others.Notwithstanding that which is indicated in the section on available material resources, the centres of the UPV/EHU and the Master's and Doctoral School ensure the satisfactory functioning of the material resources and services they provide, for which they have established mechanisms for their maintenance, review and updating. Their updating mechanisms are, therefore, those of the centres. In any case, the doctoral program also has its own budget allocation, managed by the Master's and Doctoral School of the UPV/EHU, and several actions from the program contract for the provision of infrastructure, materials and bibliographical resources, managed by the Research and Campus Vice-Rectorates.The mechanisms for detecting and processing the needs identified by the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program will be channelled through the program coordinator, who will maintain permanent contact with the people responsible for the centres (Centre Administrators and Heads of Administration), in order to remedy any deficiencies. In addition, the Doctoral Program in Physical Activity and Sport has suitable spaces and scientific equipment, as listed below:In the Faculty of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport there are different kinds of classrooms suitable for the teaching of the Doctoral Program in Physical Activity and Sport. The Centre has the laboratories listed below, as well as common spaces for meetings and tutorials:1. Laboratory for the observation of motor action.2. Laboratory for motor behaviour.3. Laboratory for the analysis of sporting performance.4. Laboratory for social research into physical activity.5. Laboratory for physical activity and health.
The faculty has a specific library to complement the general library of the Campus of Araba, allowing the provision of a Resource Centre for learning and research. There is also access to all the electronic collections of the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea and resources and work spaces which are currently available in the library.More specifically, the Faculty of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, where the doctoral program will be taught, has its own library, with specific material in the field of physical activity and sport.
