In 1993 after graduating in Chemistry from the UPV/EHU, I joined the Department of Inorganic Chemistry.
First, I enjoyed a grant as a Research Project Collaborator (1994-95), I did my Bachelor Thesis (1995) and I received a MEC Predoctoral Grant. During the grant period (1996-99), I made several substitutions as Associated Professor, and in 1999 I obtained a position as Associate Professor (Inorganic Chemistry Department, UPV / EHU). In 2001, I defended my Doctoral Thesis and in 2008 I accepted a position as Associate Professor. Finally, in 2011 I obtained the position of Professor Lecturer that I currently occupy.
Initially I started with the synthesis of coordination compounds and oxides and their study by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, magnetism, EPR... Then, I started in the field of Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), field in which is based my current research activity. My research has been funded by Research Projects and I have taken part in several projects with companies. The most relevant results of my research activity are summarized in more than 40 articles published in international journals.
I have given subjects such as General Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry and doctorate and master courses. I have also taken part in activities such as the “Carpa de la Ciencia” or the “Química en Acción” program, of which I am a coordinator.
