Material resources

The research groups participating in the QUIMILASER Doctoral Program have work spaces for the exclusive use of the students, located in the Faculty of Science and Technology and assigned by the Department of Physical Chemistry. They consist of two study rooms (equipped with a table, chairs, shelves, telephone and internet connection points) for up to 8 students. It should be noted that these rooms are located next to the research group laboratory.Similarly, the Department currently provides our research groups with 4 work places in a room shared with other students of the Department. The room is located one floor above the research laboratory. It is equipped with facilities similar to those of the group premises. In addition, for meetings, seminars, lectures and courses, the Faculty of Science and Technology provides its members with classrooms and lecture rooms duly equipped for these purposes. You can find detailed information on the characteristics of these premises on the following website of the Faculty:http://www.zientzia-teknologia.ehu.es/p240-content/es/contenidos/informacion/ztf_fct_servicios/es_indice/servicios.html
The research groups participating in the QUIMILASER Doctoral Program have a research laboratory located in the basement of the Faculty of Science and Technology. The laboratory has a surface area of about 200 m2 and contains the scientific equipment with which the experimental activities are conducted: pulsed and continuous lasers, vacuum chambers and their corresponding vacuum pumps (some of them considerable in size), racks with electronic equipment suitable for the handling and detection of signals, input and output jacks for gases/air and water, the installation of pipes for the supply of gas from cylinders, a ventilation system, an extractor fan, air conditioning systems for the stabilization of the measurement equipment, dehumidifiers to maintain constant moisture conditions, two UPS (uninterruptible power supply) units, lockers for the storage of reagents and solvents, etc.Similarly, the groups have a small room which has different tools and utensils (a lathe, milling machine, polishing machine, cutting machine, etc.) which are necessary for conditioning the experiments. Finally, the General Research Services of the university are located next to the research laboratory (http://www.ikerkuntza.ehu.es/p273-sgikerhm/es/).
The doctoral students can use the services of the Central Library of the UPV/EHU, located on the campus of Leioa, next to the Faculty of Science and Technology. It provides the following services (detailed information is available at the following address: http://www.biblioteka.ehu.es/p207-content/es/contenidos/informacion/indice_biblioteca/es_infgener/informacion_general.html)AcquisitionsAccess to the library collection (books and journals)Loan and reprography servicesUser Training: Introductory courses to the sources of information and their use are conducted for postgraduates, provided at the request of the professors.
