Biography
Mª Angeles Andrés has been awarded a degree on Chemistry Science by the Heath of Science Faculty in the University of Zaragoza and has obtained a doctorate of Chemical Engineering by University of the Basque Country. She has developed her researcher career in several centres: Molecular Biology Center "Severo Ochoa" (CSIC) in Madrid, Materials Science Institute of Aragón (CSIC) in Zaragoza and at the University of the Basque Country. Currently, she is a University professor at the Chemical Engineering and Environment Department of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She is member of the Research group 'Biorefinery processes' (BioRP) recognised by the UPV/EHU and the Basque Government.
Research
Her research focuses on the development, optimization and integration of the biorefinery and lignocellulosic materials' processes, taking part in research projects of great relevance financed by the Basque Government, the Education and Science Ministry, the Science and Innovation Ministry, Excma. Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa and others belonging to the Saiotek programme and Spain-Italy integrated Actions. The results of this research have been presented at International Scientific Congresses and have been published in journal of great impact index. She has directed a number of projects of the end of career and several projects of the end of Master. Presently, she is co directing a doctoral theses.
