Biography
She is a Chemical Engineer (environmental engineering profile), Complutense University, Madrid (2003). She obtained the Doctorate degree in Environmental Engineering (special PhD award), Basque Country University, UPV-EHU (2010). She has been predoctoral researcher in the Applied Chemistry Department, Basque Country University, UPV-EHU from 2004 to 2006. Nowadays, is a professor and researcher of the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department, Basque Country University, UPV-EHU.
Investigation
The research field is based on biorefinery from an engineer perspective, focusing on the process design, flowsheets simulation and optimization, solvents recovery, energy consumption evaluation, etc. For this purpose, specific chemical engineering processes simulation tools are required, as Aspen Plus, HX Net, etc.
