University-Trained Expert: Sports, Education and Co-existence: Protection of Children and Adolescents

KEY FACTS ABOUT THE DEGREE PROGRAMME

This graduate degree programme is structured into three approaches: sport as an essential element for children's holistic development; sport and games as a fundamental change for learning and transmitting values; sport as an unusually valuable tool for underscoring the need to keep working on child protection.

Its main goal is to educate professionals from school sport and federated sport from an innovative, inclusive standpoint, paying special attention to the values of coexistence that promote the holistic development of individuals.

This degree programme will familiarize students with the legal framework for protection of children and adolescents, while also relating this to the field of sport, by recognizing good practices in protection of minors and identifying preventive interventions. Students will be able to design, develop and evaluate educational processes during training sessions and will have access to conflict resolution tools that guarantee equality of rights and opportunities. Special attention will be paid to education in values, equity and the emotional level, identifying school sport and federated sport as tools for developing both social skills and the spirit of community service.
