Group Study Rooms
Group Study Rooms will be booked using the app QR4Services in the following libraries: Gipuzkoa Campus Library – Centro Carlos Santamaría, Araba Campus Library – Koldo Mitxelena, Bizkaia Campus Library– Leioa, Faculty of Economics and Business Library – Sarriko and Bilbao School of Engineering Library.
The Main libraries and most of the libraries located in the different campuses and schools have group study rooms, exclusively designated for carrying out academic activities and work.
Usage regulations:
- It is necessary to have an up-to-date UPV/EHU university card from the corresponding library and not to be subject to any kind of penalty from the University Library.
- Rooms must be booked through the QR4services application at the following libraries: Gipuzkoa Campus Library – Centro Carlos Santamaría, Araba Campus Library – Koldo Mitxelena, Bizkaia Campus Library - Leioa, Faculty of Economics and Business Library – Sarriko and Bilbao School of Engineering Library. At other libraries, go to the library reception desk.
- In those libraries working with QR4services, one member of the group must book the room in the application and add the details of the other members. Before occupying the room, everyone must check in at the front desk with the QR code generated on their mobile.
- In those libraries not working with the QR4Services system, when occupying the room, the ID cards of all the people who will use the room must be deposited at the library desk. The users will be held responsible for compliance with the rules of use. They must also be aware that unauthorized persons cannot remain in the study room.
- Smoking, eating, and drinking are not allowed.
- Minimum occupancy for all rooms is three persons, with the maximum number depending on the capacity of each room.
- The reservation time will be two hours per day, which can be extended if there are no other pending requests.
- In the case that users do not arrive punctually, bookings will be cancelled 15 minutes after the assigned time and the rooms may be used by another group.
Inappropriate use or use unrelated to academic activities will be sanctioned with a suspension of library service for one month and the denial of access to the study rooms for the rest of the academic year. Additionally, if any intentional damage to equipment occurs, the responsible parties will be obliged to repair the damage and cover the costs incurred.
The aforementioned measures will be taken without prejudice to further sanctions agreed upon by the competent authorities according to the established procedures.
