Inaki Karrera
Dr. Inaki Karrera; is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) in the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology in Donostia-San Sebastian (Guipúzcoa). Concerning his teaching career, his curriculum is endorsed by 17 years of dedication towards education at university level and, previously, another 4 years as an educational counselor in compulsory education. In recent times, he has been teaching in the Specialty of Special Education within the degrees of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. Moreover, he still teaches or has taught in the following masters and postgraduate courses. On the one hand, in the University Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and High School, Professional Training and Language Teaching, specializing in Educational Guidance. On the second hand, in the University Master's Degree in Research in Socio-Educational Areas, where is the teacher of the subject of Socio-Educational Inclusion. Finally, in the Master's Degree in Psycho Didactics: Psychology of Education and Specific Didactics, in the subject Qualitative Designs in Educational Research: Procedure and Ethical Dimension.
The quality of the teaching given is validated by the Evaluation Service of this university DOCENTIAZ (outstanding), by UNIBASQ and by ANECA. He is a professor in the Doctoral Program "Psycho Didactics: Educational Psychology and Specific Didactics" where, until this date, he has been the director of two doctoral thesis and, currently, he is directing another three doctoral thesis within this same doctoral program.
Regarding his research work, he has an extensive path and participation in European (Horizon Europe 2025, Horizon 2020; Grundtvig 2010), state (MINECO 2019, 2017, 2015, 2011, 2010), regional (Basque Country) and/or university (UPV/EHU) projects. His lines of research are focused on Educational Inclusion, Digital Inclusion, Social Inequalities and Pedagogical Renewal. He is one of the founding members of the ALHE Research Group (research group UPV/EHU/2022).
