Bachelor in Biology (2001) and doctor (2007) from the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. Professor of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing since 2009 in the Department of Cell Biology and Histology. Academic Secretary of the aforementioned department since 2016. He teaches basic medical histology subjects. Special medical histology and Introduction to Medical Research in the degree of Medicine, as well as General Histology in the degree of Dentistry.
Since 2009 he is part of the Signaling Lab research group in which he works in the cancer research section. His research focuses on the study of the tumor microenvironment of hepatic metastasis and on the study of protein convertases in cancer stem cells.
