Learning outcomes of the subject
The skills that should be developed by the students throughout this subject are:- Communication and Assertiveness: set of skills that allow the effective exchange of information. It involves both listening and message transmission skills and involves mastery of both verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Leadership: Competence to influence and inspire others to work enthusiastically aiming to achieve common goals and results.
- Teamwork: Competence to cooperate adequately with others, prioritizing group results and joining the team to achieve common goals.
- Time management: competence to adequately plan the time available and schedule the different activities and/or tasks to achieve the objectives, in order to obtain the highest possible productivity.
- Introduction to project management: competence to plan and organize the tasks/activities necessary to achieve a defined objective within a certain period of time during which resources, tools and people are managed, as well as methodologies are developed in order to achieve the final objective efficiently.
Temary
1- Communication. How to Give Effective Presentations.The aim is to improve the communication skills in presentations, conferences, meetings and other situations of exchange of information. It will more practical than theoretical and we will use several working techniques such as the analysis of videos of the participants, etc.
2. How to Have a Good Job Interview.
We will learn how to perform to the best of our potential at an interview. How to prepare the interview, the roadmap, how to focus in our key ideas, verbal and nonverbal skills, and provide some tips that will help us to show our best version. We will use role playing techniques in order to practice the concepts.
3- Core competences for a Career development.
We will identify and learn about some of the other competences that, in addition to the scientific expertise, will allow us to develop a motivating career:
- Team work
- Proactivity: I can change my future (empowerment Vs victimhood)
- Leadership
- Entrepreneurship
4. Time management.
Time is a limited resource, impossible to replace. Daily, we have a fix quantity, 24hours, and the same quantity for everyone. However, some people ¿have time for everything¿ and others are always on a lack of time. The difference is how we use it. In this training we will provide some useful tips to manage our time and have results more efficiently
5. Project Management.
Project managers must exhibit a broad range of talents to bring teams together and help organizations reach goal. In this lecture, it will show, the most important keys to project success
