Marta Fernández received the M.S. and PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (Spain) in 2013 and 2018 respectively. She joined the TSR (Radiocommunications and Signal Processing) research group at the Department of Communications Engineering of the University of the Basque Country in 2013. Since then, she has been involved in projects related to methods for assessing human exposure to electromagnetic fields, wireless networks and wearable devices. In 2016 she was a visiting researcher at the Centre for Wireless Monitoring and Applications of Griffith University, Australia, where she did part of her doctoral studies.
