Doctoral Programme in Social, Political and Cultural Studies

Nested Applications

Presentación-Sociedad, Política y Cultura

Our doctoral programme was set up to meet the demands made on the university by society in terms of social and economic issues, as well as in the sphere of politics and communication and, transversally, in gender and environmental issues.

Its goal is to increase the effectiveness and coherence of the transversality which already exists, bringing together researchers in the spheres of sociology, political science and philosophy, anthropology, economics, law, social psychology and communication.

Our lines of research are linked to - among others - government and political analysis, the processes and dynamics of political participation, gender dynamics, environmental and international issues, Basque culture and the Basque education system and analysis of the dynamics of identity and communication in Basque society.

Our Doctoral  teachin staf is made up of more than 35 researchers who have in recent years taken part in processes organised by the European Union, the Spanish education ministry, the Basque government, the University of the Basque Country, the UNESCO chair and other institutions.
