The Doctoral Programme in Public Health at the UPV/EHU aims to train top-class doctors who are able to generate new and relevant knowledge regarding health problems, as well as to take a leading role in research, teaching, creation of policies and health service management both in the academic and the clinical fields, as well as in national and international health institutions.
This doctorate brings together all the epidemiological research being carried out in the social-healthcare arena, and covers such important subjects as the study of health determinants, interventions in communicable and non-communicable diseases, the evaluation of healthcare technologies, epidemiological surveillance, disease prediction models, healthcare planning and management, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics, occupational health, etc.
The Doctorate in Public Health can be an instrument to channel the research requirements of professionals in the Health Sciences field and related areas.
