The doctoral programme in Mathematics and Statistics is an interuniversity programme in which the UPV/EHU participates along with the University of La Laguna, the University of Oviedo, the Public University of Navarre, and the University of Zaragoza.
The programme combines several areas of knowledge, with the following objectives:
- To provide advanced research training in the different branches of Mathematics.
- To facilitate original research initiatives, which contribute to the accumulated knowledge about the different subjects.
- To promote the interdisciplinary nature of research, facilitating a relationship between doctoral students who are researching into different fields of mathematics or other scientific branches.
