The demand for doctors in Chemical Engineering (in technology centres and companies) is associated with research, development and technological innovation needs to design and create products with improved performance, lower consumption of resources, better quality/price ratio and/or lower environmental impact.
The aim of the UPV/EHU's Doctoral Programme in Chemical Engineering, adapted to the R.D.99/2011, is to train research staff that are capable of leading and driving innovation and technological progress in the chemical industry and in related sectors (environment energy, food and pharmacology), and that can contribute to society by identifying knowledge and skills that can be transferred and applied to the production sector.
The teaching staff at the UPV/EHU Department of Chemical Engineering has solid and proven research experience: NTU Ranking, 2019: 1st place at a national level for the 7th consecutive year; 14th at a European level; 83rd in the world; Shanghai World University Ranking, 2019: 1st place at a state level; 11-13 at a European level; 76-100 in the world.
