As of the end of July, 2020, the second round of construction in the María Goyri building is nearing completion. The work in the Molecular Ecology and Evolution laboratory included installation of a partitiion to separate it from the neighboring lab in which very different activities under another group have been planned.  Besides the partition, there were relatively few changes, but they include improved lighting on the work benches and additional storage area.  So, the closure of the lab, which lasted five months is now at an end, right at the beginning of August.
