Ignacio Marcos Rodríguez
Summary
Senior lecturer at the University of The Basque Country (UPV/EHU) teaching subjects in the field of steel and concrete structures as a member of the Mechanical Engineering department, from 1998 to 2009 as part-time, and since then full-time. He has a background on Structural (Industrial Engineer 1993, MSc in Construction Engineering 2011) and a PhD on concrete structures conservation and rehabilitation (UPV/EHU, 2014).
Since 1994 he worked in the area of Structures Pathology and Rehabilitation, within the construction division of Labein (nowadays part of Tecnalia) becoming project manager, responsible for the Structures and Geotechnics Area between 2002 and 2004, and later in charge of Structures and Historical Heritage until 2009.
Its activity was oriented towards analysis and intervention of concrete, masonry and steel structures, also collaborating in international, national and regional research projects focused on the development of innovative products for the field of construction, specializing in pathology in construction, composite materials for structural reinforcement and structural rehabilitation. He has advised the municipalities of Ecuador on the effects of the 2016 earthquake. He has participated in projects at a national and international level. He is co-author of 13 JCR research papers and his H-index is 7.
