<span lang="en">Currently, the critical communications sector is aware of the need for evolving the portfolio of service capabilities to support advanced multimedia communications in their daily emergency operations. However, there is a discussion about the evolving the private communication networks or adopting commercial network technologies, which have evolved significantly during the last years. This paper presents a process of interaction with critical communication professionals belonging in different professional sectors, different countries and different user profiles. This paper gathers the main findings of this interaction in terms of captured users' requirements for novel services to be adopted and types of networks which shall support them.</span>
