The study on ONO-SM-362 in ceramide 1-phophate induced phenomenom
Specific programme: ONO Pharmaceuticals Cooperation Project
UPV/EHU Partner Status: Partner

Project start: 07/10/2014
Project end: 30/11/2016
Brief description:
The project examines the effects of the ONO-SM-362 compound on some of the effects elicited by ceramide 1-phosphate (C1P) in pancreatic cancer cell death very efficiently. These actions lead to cell survival ultimately ending up in tumorigenesis. In addition, C1P can induce inflammatory responses, some of which may be associated to tumor promotion. The project proposes that the ONO-SM-362 compound may counteract at least some of the detrimental effects of C1P in human pancreatic cells, and may also impact inflammation through actions on macrophages.
