Jose María Usategui is a full professor at the University of the Basque Country. He received his BA in Economics and in Mathematics from the University of the Basque Country and his PhD in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles. His research fields include  Industrial Organization, Economics of Information, Risk Theory, Decision and Game Theory, and Applied Economic Theory in Environmental Economics and in Health Economics. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Public Economics, International Journal of Game Theory, European Journal of Political Economy, and many others.
