Cristina Pizarro-Irizar
Cristina Pizarro-Irizar is a Telecommunications Engineer (University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain and Karlsruhe University, Karlsruhe, Germany). She has a Master in Finance (CUNEF, Madrid, Spain) and a Master in Economics (University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain). She is currently obtaining her PhD (funded by a grant from the Basque Government) and working as a researcher and teaching assistant at the University of the Basque Country. Her research focuses on the economics of renewable energy, mainly in the analysis of the policies aimed at renewable energy support in Spain, and energy efficiency. She has published part of her research in journals specialized in energy issues and her work has been presented at national and international conferences. She won the Student Best Paper Award in the 8th Conference of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics in 2013.
