Aitor Ciarreta is currently an associate professor of economics in the University of the Basque Country. He received his Bachelor's degree at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU and his PhD degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His major field of study is industrial organization, both theoretical and empirical, with special interest in energy markets and law and economics. He has publications in Journal of Economics, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, European Journal of Law and Economics, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Journal, Journal of Regulatory Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization and Economics Letters.
