The objective of the PAPOS project is the development of an electronic device to optimize the process of digitizing operation and maintenance tests of electrical substations. This device should have integrated Redbox functionality, which means it applies redundancy to ensure communications are entirely reliable. The device will meet all the market demands according to the results of the survey conducted by the CIGRE group (CIGRE, 2019), where a clear trend towards a remote testing system based on the IEC 61850 standard can be observed.
