Master in Chemical Engineering
It is a joint Master between the University of the Basque Country and the University of Cantabria, with a dual orientation, professional and research.
The Master provides advanced training in the field of Chemical Engineering. On the one hand, it deepens the knowledge acquired in the studies of Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, both in Basic Engineering subjects (such as Process Control), and in those specific of Chemical Engineering, (such as Reactor Design, or Separation Processes). On the other hand, it trains in new disciplines, such as Chemical Process Modeling and Simulation, Process Optimization, Management Systems, Process and Product Sustainability, or Management of R&D&i activities. A certain level of specialization is also introduced in specific fields, such as Energy, Environment or Sustainable Resource Management, which constitute the 3 optional blocks of the Master.
Compulsory External Internships in collaborating entities are included (in the 2nd year of completion of the Master)
In addition to the basic chemical and petrochemical industry, the versatile training given in the Master enables the graduates to develop their professional activity in other sectors such as: materials science, food production, pharmaceutical industry, development of biofuels, new energy sources and nuclear energy processes, biotechnology industry and even in medical applications, and also in public administration. The graduates can develop their professional work in areas of process design and engineering, production and product engineering, R&D&i, management and direction, sales and marketing.
The Master also gives access to Doctoral Programs in the field of Chemical Engineering and related areas.
