Descripción y contextualización de la asignatura

La presente asignatura persigue favorecer el juicio crítico del alumno, ampliar y valorar su patrimonio literario como un modo de simbolizar la experiencia individual y colectiva en diferentes contextos histórico-culturales por medio de la lectura y análisis de obras relevantes de la literatura inglesa gótica, ciencia ficción o fantasy. Asimismo, puede ser una ocasión interesante para desarrollar su imaginación y creatividad propia. En cualquier caso, la orientación que se dará a la materia tendrá un carácter eminentemente investigador.

- Conocer los orígenes y evolución de lo Fantástico en la Literatura Inglesa Moderna.

- Analizar algunas de las producciones más representativas de la literatura gótica, de ciencia ficción y fantástica inglesa.

- Identificar las principales características de cada género.

- Proporcionar una descripción general de las novelas sugeridas, así como los términos clave asociados a ella, y citar ejemplos concretos de las convenciones, tropos y términos de las novelas que el alumno haya leído.

- Realizar un estudio comparativo de dos obras literarias diferentes, haciendo uso de las herramientas críticas proporcionadas a lo largo del curso.

Convocatoria ordinaria: orientaciones y renuncia

El tipo de evaluación es continua. Los estudiantes serán evaluados según su rendimiento en las siguientes tareas de evaluación:

Tareas:

a. Ensayo: 40%

b. Presentación oral: 40%:

c. Asistencia y participación en clase: 20%.



Los estudiantes que no presenten estas tareas de evaluación no recibirán ningún crédito (0 puntos) por el trabajo no presentado.

Convocatoria extraordinaria: orientaciones y renuncia

Asignaciones:

a. Ensayo: 50%

b. Presentación oral grabada: 50% (debe incluir un póster en formato pdf y el estudiante debe aparecer en la misma)



La Normativa de permanencia en másteres de la UPV/EHU (consultable en:

http://www.ehu.eus/es/web/estudiosdeposgrado-graduondokoikasketak/jarraitzekoarauak)

establece en su artículo 2 lo siguiente:

"2.1. El alumnado dispondrá de cuatro convocatorias de evaluación para cada asignatura,

(dos por curso académico).

2.2. El alumnado podrá renunciar a la convocatoria de evaluación, lo que implica que no se

contabilizará la misma.

2.3. La Comisión Académica del Máster deberá indicar el modo en que el alumnado puede

renunciar a la convocatoria de evaluación de la misma.

2.4. Las convocatorias tercera, cuarta y excepcional se evaluarán por un tribunal de acuerdo

con las normas que establezcan al efecto".

Ello en virtud de que:

"Para todos los másteres, independientemente de la modalidad de impartición (presencial,

semi-presencial o a distancia), los alumnos y alumnas contarán con un límite de tiempo

para finalizar los estudios, que será, en todos los casos, de 2 cursos académicos añadidos a

los cursos necesarios para la superación del máster por el alumno o la alumna, según su

dedicación (parcial/completa) regulada en cada máster. Se considerará que 60 créditos o

fracción de 60 créditos equivalen a 1 curso".

Así pues, aquel estudiante que no renuncia expresamente a una convocatoria, aunque no se

presente a la misma, la consume (a diferencia de lo que viene sucediendo en los grados).

Para dar cumplimiento al punto 2.3 de la citada Normativa de Permanencia, la Comisión

Académica del Máster en Literatura Comparada y Estudios Literarios solicita a los

estudiantes que deseen renunciar a una convocatoria de una asignatura determinada que lo

manifiesten por escrito.

Bastará para ello enviar con antelación suficiente a la calificación de la asignatura un e-mail

al profesor o profesora en que se explicite que "D/Dª [nombre y dos apellidos del

estudiante], RENUNCIA a la convocatoria X de la asignatura X del Máster en Literatura

Comparada y Estudios Literarios de la UPV/EHU. Vitoria-Gasteiz, XX de XX de 20XX.

Firmado: [nombre y dos apellidos del estudiante]".

El e-mail deberá ser enviado obligatoriamente desde la cuenta oficial [@ikasle.ehu.eus] del estudiante a la cuenta oficial del profesor de la asignatura.
