The Master in Economics: Tools of Economic Analysis is a one-year program offered jointly by the Departments of Quantitative Methods and Economic Analysis at the University of the Basque Country, and the Departments of Economics at the University of Cantabria and the University of Oviedo.

The programme provides rigorous training in economic and data analysis. Graduates will learn how to critically analyse and evaluate economic policy or business decision-making problems and apply relevant models and theories as well as appropriate data analysis methodologies to generate effective solutions.

The master's degree has both a professional and a research orientation. In terms of professional orientation, the programme prepares graduates for the economist profession in both the private and public sectors at national and international level. In addition, we encourage the transfer of knowledge between the academic world and the private and public sector through internships in companies.

Moreover, the research orientation of our programme enables our graduates to successfully complete a doctoral thesis in the field of applied economics. This master's programme provides direct access to our PhD programme in Economics.
